Linsanity

Whether you’re a fan of the NBA or not, which I most certainly am, you will no doubt have observed a flutter of madness erupting across Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and many news programs and websites around the world. In one word they’re calling it “Linsanity”.  Jeremy Lin has made a record breaking rise to stardom in the basketball world, reviving the New York Knicks with 7 straight wins straight after debuting in the big-time league.  From being under-recruited and undrafted, passed around by teams who didn’t really want him, he has become the biggest basketball sensation we’ve seen for a long time.

But what does he have to do with REACH blog? You say.  Well, the 22 year old Harvard graduate does more than win basketball games, he’s also a devoted follower of Christ and has no qualms letting everyone know.  But not only is he a strong Christian, he’s an avid YouTuber, Tweeter and Facebooker and if you follow him you’ll see he uses these platforms (boosted by his popularity) to spread the message of the gospel.  Often his videos and tweets are accompanied by scriptures (like Col 3:23) and continues to give thanks to God for the blessings he has received.

Here at REACH, we’re fans of anyone who loves spreading the gospel online, and we think Jeremy Lin is doing a fantastic job of ensuring that his faith appears wherever he is, both on the court, and online.  Check out a fun video from yesHEis.com below, appearing on Lin’s YouTube account about how to get into Harvard.
